This is from your father. I&#039;m glad your experience with Pete Rose was positive. Don&#039;t forget, you paid for his autograph and therefore, Pete was probably on his best behavior. I, on the other hand, worked for a sports book in Las Vegas, and met Pete Rose as a race and sports ticket writer, and saw another side of him, gambling problem, etc. I agree, without a doubt, that he was one of the greatest hitters in baseball history, but due to his gambling problems in the past, I would not submit him to be to the Hall of Fame. With what&#039;s going on in today&#039;s drug related situation, in the future it will be difficult to submit anyone without an asterisk next to his name.
